This sculpture was inspired from an emotion that comes from calculating the price we have paid in life. It could simply be seen as the price for a lofty position. It could be seen as the cost of debt or it could be more significant. The chair is our position and the red is the deficit or loss. What are the things we have given up, dreams, freedom, or relationships? The cost is more than just money.
