Empty (shown in silver nitrate patina)

One day I watched a young boy with his hands in his pockets looking down and shuffling his foot against the ground. I saw a moment of discontentment. To me, discontentment comes from feeling dissatisfied, unfulfilled -- EMPTY.

The process of filling empty can become a repeating cycle or loop. The sculpture concerns itself with the infinity loop. The loop is broken at the base to confirm the importance of a strong foundation in life.

As always, this is my inspiration for the sculpture, the interpretation belongs in the eye of the beholder.
